Laser Skin Rejuvenation
IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is a non-ablative laser for skin conditions ranging from redness, acne scars and rosacea to broken capillaries and hyper pigmentation. The actual IPL Laser procedure feels like the mild snapping of rubber bands against the skin's surface. For best results a Skin Rejuvenation Package is ideal. Fractional 1540 Resurfacing
Fractional laser skin resurfacing is a relatively new method that is used to treat a number of skin conditions with minimal downtime. One of the premier fractional lasers is the Palomar Lux 1540, a non-ablative erbium laser that is part of the Palomar Icon Aesthetic System. This laser delivers light to the skin through an array of high precision microbeams that penetrate the skin deep into the dermis. This creates narrow, deep columns of skin coagulation, surrounded by healthy, untreated skin. This causes the skin to repair itself by replacing old, sun damaged skin with new, younger, healthier skin. Since the Lux 1540 delivers fractionated light, the treatments are safer and produce consistent results.Fractional resurfacing with the Lux 1540 is much less invasive compared to ablative laser procedures, resulting in a faster recovery time. Most patients experience minimal downtime, with some mild redness and swelling for a couple of days. Since these treatments are fractionated and less invasive, generally 3 – 5 sessions are recommended for full results. These are performed every 2 – 6 weeks. Fractional skin resurfacing with the 1540 nm erbium laser is also much safer and avoids the side effects and complications that are associated with non-fractionated lasers. Helps: even skin tone and texture, wrinkles, brown spots, pore appearance, acne scars, surgical and traumatic scars.
During the first 24 hours after treatment, the skin may feel mildly sunburned, sensitive, and somewhat swollen. Since the treatments are non-ablative and the skin surface is intact, there is no oozing from the skin. Over the next few days, the skin may appear slightly bronzed, which can be easily covered with makeup. There may be some flaking as well, which can be improved by using a moisturizer.

DEKA DOT Therapy™
Dermal Optical Thermolysis (DOT) Therapy is an advanced, FDA-approved laser procedure performed to rejuvenate the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, brown spots, sun damage, scarring and more. During DOT Therapy, the skin is tightened and collagen production is stimulated, allowing for a fuller, more youthful appearance as the skin is plumped and unwanted blemishes are significantly reduced.
This procedure is unlike any other laser resurfacing treatment, as it allows for precisely targeted treatment areas to produce significant improvements to the appearance and texture of the skin. This is done with a CO2 fractional laser that treats the skin through a customized pattern of dots, instead of treating the entire skin, which reduces damage to surrounding tissue and allows for deeper penetration of the skin.
DOT Therapy is effective in:
- Reversing the effects of aging
- Improving texture, tone and firmness of the skin
- Smoothing wrinkles and fine lines
- Reducing the appearance of acne and other scars
- Providing an overall younger, more refreshed appearance.
Using the Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser, the removal will be the most effective treatment for removing tattoos. The use of a Zimmer hose, to blow cold air, cools the skin and offsets the heat of the laser. Minimum of 8 treatments may be needed spaced out around 6-8 of weeks apart to see dramatic results. The number of treatments required will vary as it depends on the age and location of the tattoo, the color and the type of ink used.

Over time, our skin changes as a result of aging, sun damage and several other factors, causing wrinkles, pigmentation and scarring to develop on our faces. Many patients unhappy with these changes seek cosmetic treatments to restore their appearance and maintain a beautiful, youthful and fresh face. These nonsurgical treatments safely and effectively enhance the appearance of the skin while still allowing patients to look like themselves.
Laser Treatment Patient 4:
While aging and sun damage are the most common causes of unwanted skin changes, certain conditions can also negatively affect the appearance of the skin, such as:
- Poor diet
- Lack of exercise
- Hormonal changes
- Medical conditions such as acne and rosacea
There are several different treatments available to help reverse or improve facial changes and allow patients to restore a refreshed, younger-looking appearance that reflects the way they feel about themselves. Many patients choose to combine one or more rejuvenation options, or to combine their treatment with plastic surgery procedures such as a facelift or brow lift to maximize results.
Your doctor will recommend the most effective treatment option(s) for you after a thorough evaluation of your skin, your medical history and your goals for treatment. Choosing an experienced doctor that you trust to perform your treatments is an important factor in achieving your desired results.
Laser Hair Removal
Hair removal is a constant worry for many men and women alike. For patients who are sick of the hassle associated with shaving, waxing and other temporary hair removal techniques, laser hair removal may be the solution for you. Laser hair removal exposes specific areas of the body to beams of laser light that disable active hair follicles and delay or prevent re-growth.
Laser hair removal is ideal for patients with dark hair and light skin, although nearly anyone with unwanted facial or body hair can benefit from this procedure. This procedure can be performed on the lip, chin, neck, back, arms, legs, bikini area and more.
Laser Treatment Patient 4: Laser VLPL, 3 Treatments
After laser hair removal, patients may experience redness, puffiness and sunburn sensations for the first few days. You may return to work and other regular activities as soon as you feel comfortable. Three to seven days after treatment, patients may notice what appears to be a re-growth of hair, but is actually a shedding of the treated hair, which will fall out and not grow back.
Since hairs grow at different times, multiple treatments will be needed for all patients at intervals of four to six weeks. The number of sessions depends on several factors, including your hair and skin color, hormone levels, and hair follicle size. The average patient sees up to a 48% reduction in hair growth after three treatments, and up to 80% after six to eight treatments.
